Integrated lab system

Run experiments locally.
Work together in one place.

Animus brings a dedicated capture station, infrared camera and shared lab workspace together. Each station analyzes experiments locally; your team finds its results in one organized interface. The equipment arrives by post; no USB drives to carry between PCs.

  • Box and camera included
  • Results ready when the test ends
  • Our updates wait until your test ends

One integrated lab system

From camera to conclusion,
without moving files by hand.

Set up experiments, monitor your stations and manage results from a shared workspace. The capture equipment looks after its own updates.

A ready-to-run lab station

A dedicated box and infrared camera arrive ready for your lab, built on rugged hardware and checked by us to demanding standards before it ships. On site, it confirms in about a minute that it is ready to record. Each box can run up to two cameras; capture and analysis stay local, with automatic updates to reduce upkeep.

02

Make protocols repeatable

Each experiment keeps the exact setup it ran with. Repeat a study in one click, with the same protocol, treatments and stages. Moved an arena? Put every arena back in place in a few clicks before the next test.

03

Results ready when the test ends

Distance, speed, immobility and time in each zone, per animal. Change a threshold and get new results in seconds, without running the animals again. Treatment groups compared on a chart ready for your lab meeting or your paper, tests from several stations pooled into one study, and a CSV export for your statistics.

04

Your lab, one workspace

Protocols, stations and experiment results are organized for the team in one interface. Pick up an analysis from another PC without passing around USB drives.

  • Role-based access, site by site
  • Every permission change recorded
  • Every result traced to the exact settings that produced it
  • Our software updates install at night, in your lab's time zone, and wait until your test ends
  • Tests are recorded on the station itself, not on a remote server
  • Two colleagues can never start a test over each other
  • Share a complete experiment with a collaborator in one file
  • Ask a colleague or our support team without leaving the workspace

A clearer workflow

Your experiment stays connected from setup to export.

No more carrying USB drives between capture PCs and analysis desks. Each experiment stays attached to its protocol, results and exports.

Go to your workspace → From delivery to first experiment in three steps →
  1. 01

    Design

Define your zones, capture settings, and analysis pipeline.

  2. 02

    Connect

Assign your protocol to a lab station and its camera.

  3. 03

    Observe

Follow each test live. The station tells you which animal goes next.

  4. 04

    Review

Compare your treatment groups, check each track, replay the video of any test, and export your dataset. Every test is sealed when it ends, and you can see who changed a protocol or an animal list, and when.

Long experiments, fewer trips

Check a running experiment
without entering the room.

Open the live view of any station from a browser on your lab network. See that the animals are in frame and the session is still recording, then get back to your work.

Built around your model organism

Rodents and zebrafish,
tracked the way each one moves.

Two model organisms, two very different arenas and two very different kinds of motion. The capture profile, the tracking, and the measures follow the animal rather than a generic template.

Rodents

Mice and rats

Open field, elevated plus maze, forced swim, Morris water maze, Y maze, novel object, home cage — position, movement and time in each zone, for every animal.

Set up a rodent protocol →
  • Several arenas recorded at once, one animal each
  • Distance, active time, zone entries and dwell time
  • Up to 96 zones drawn directly on the live image
  • Overlays to validate every session before export

Zebrafish

Larvae and adults

Well plates, novel tank and open swim arenas — each well or arena followed on its own.

Set up a zebrafish protocol →
  • Multi-well plates, one larva per well
  • Swim distance and activity for each well
  • Per-well or per-arena zones on one capture
  • Trajectories exported alongside the raw measures

All our animal models: animal behavior tracking. Rodent tests in detail: video tracking for mice and rats and the open field test.
